Cool-season heirloom brassica known for globe-shaped roots that are bright purple on top and white underneath. Mild, fine-grained, and crisp with a classic peppery bite when raw, which mellows out when cooked. Bunches of 3-4 medium to large turnips. Greens are substantial and can also be used for roasting, sautés and soups.
